Amazon has made it easy to help the Orange County Library System make a difference in the community. For every purchase made using Amazon Smile Amazon donates 0.05% of the purchase price to the Library. All you have to do is make the purchases you normally make through Amazon.com through a new address: smile.amazon.com. For instructions on setting up your account, watch our short video.
We generally pass donations along to the Friends of the Library. They sell the items in their bookstore on the third floor of the Main Library and in our Branches,
and generously donate the proceeds back to the Library to support programs and services.
Any location can accept your donation and provide you a receipt. Certain locations may be unable to accept donations at particular times due to space considerations.
In such situations staff will recommended the nearest location at which materials may be accepted.
If you have a particularly large donation, the Main Location has a loading dock on Wall Street and staff can assist you Monday through Friday,
between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Most books are welcomed as gifts, however there are some items the Library cannot accept as a donation.
